Build a legal package (employment agreement, policy acknowledgement, or similar) from one or more documents, and publish it so it can be delivered to your team.
Before you start
- Manage Legal And Compliance right.
- Your organization's default attestation wording is set under Settings → HRS → Legal & Compliance (see How to Set Default Legal Text for HR Packages) — the package editor seeds from it.
Steps
- In the nav bar, click Human Resources → Legal & Compliance tab. You land on the Templates sub-tab.
- Click + New package (or select an existing one to edit).
- Give the package a title, and add one or more documents from your document binders in the order you want them presented.
- Set the audience this package targets (departments, job types, and/or specific people) and any per-package attestation text.
- Click Publish.
What you'll see
Publishing freezes the package into a new, immutable version, and confirms which version number was created ("Version N"). Publishing with no changes since the last version is treated as informational, not an error — you're told nothing changed rather than getting a failure. A package can't be published without at least one document and without attestation wording, and the dialog tells you which is missing if you try.
A published package isn't sent to anyone yet — see How do I deliver a legal package? for that next step.
