Four sources of softness eliminated: - **************** on the SVG - **************** on the visible outline so the stroke width does not stretch (and blur) under hover/typing scale transforms - separated the drop-shadow glow from the visible stroke — the previous filter wrap softened the edge it was supposed to highlight; now a filtered halo polygon sits behind a clean un-filtered outline - round translate3d coords to whole pixels in HexHeadSpring so heads never sit on a sub-pixel boundary
