Streaming over REST with blockLast() was producing empty responses because WebClient's SSE parsing doesn't work reliably with bodyToFlux(String.class). Added handleMessageSync() that uses adapter.chatCompletion() (non-streaming) with proper response handling, message persistence, and usage tracking.
