- Use uncontrolled Draggable (defaultPosition, no position) so DOM updates every frame during drag; sync state only on onStop - Store node positions in state (nodePositions) updated every frame in rAF so lines re-render and stay attached to source and destination - Store width/height from getBoundingClientRect; use height/2 for line end so lines hit vertical center of target card - Compute connection offset from DOM position when starting a connection so alignment is correct after items have been moved
