What this changes and what it doesn't
It changes your view only. Nobody else's menu moves, and nothing is switched off for your organization — hiding an item from your own menu doesn't remove your access to it, and you can still reach it directly.
It also doesn't affect the Home launchpad, which has its own arrangement. How to Customize Your Home Screen covers that one.
If something is missing rather than hidden
An item you've never seen isn't hidden — it's either a feature your organization hasn't switched on, or one your role doesn't have permission for. Restoring your default layout won't bring it back. Ask an administrator.
