Manually create a new lead record in KamoCRM.
Steps
- In the left sidebar, click Leads.
- On the Lead Browser page, click + Add Lead in the action bar.
- Select a Lead Market from the dropdown (for example, KamoCRM Platform or Mortgage). The market determines which category the lead is filed under, shown as a subtitle once selected (for example, "Adding to KamoCRM Platform (Service > Custom)").
- Fill in the rest of Market & Assignment:
- Assign To — defaults to you; change it to assign the lead to a teammate.
- Best Time to Contact — free text (for example, "Morning").
- Vendor — required. Who this lead came from. Self-generated leads can use your organization's own house vendor.
- Product — required, depends on the Vendor selected.
- Marketing Material ID — optional.
- Lead Prospect Type — optional.
- Fill in Primary Contact. No single field here is individually required, but the form enforces two rules: at least one of First Name, Last Name, or Preferred Name must be filled, and either an email or a phone number must be provided.
- Optionally fill in Mailing Address — every field here is optional.
- Click Create Lead in the top right.
What you'll see
You land on the new lead's detail page (Client Lead Data tab). The lead's status is set to New, and the values you entered are visible under Lead Info, Primary Contact, and Mailing Address.
