Important: this mechanism is shared across 7 of the 8 Documents settings tabs β but 4 of those tabs are currently wired to the wrong category due to a bug. See Known issue β four Document settings tabs are wired to the wrong category before configuring anything on Call Recordings, My Documents, Meet Recordings, or System-Wide.
Each document category (Account, Service Applications, Service Orders, and others) can be configured with the same three building blocks:
Feature toggles
Two on/off settings per category β Custom Folders (let members organize documents into folders) and Doc Type Classification (let members tag documents with a type). Some categories have these locked by the platform (shown as a locked chip, not a switch) rather than left up to your organization.
Doc types
A short list of category codes your organization defines β a code (max 12 characters, uppercase), a title, and an optional description. Members use these to classify documents within that category. A doc type can be deactivated but not deleted.
Stacking orders
An ordered pipeline describing how documents of a given category get compiled together β each step can filter by doc type, sort newest- or oldest-first, restrict to a page range, and cap the number of documents included. Steps run in sequence, and you can drag to reorder them.
