Control LIFX lights and scenes through the LIFX cloud.
Before you start
You need the Manage IoT Connections right and a LIFX cloud account. The token you create lets the connection control every light on that account.
Connect it
- Sign in at
cloud.lifx.com, open Settings and generate a personal access token. - Go to Settings → Devices (IoT) → Connections and choose Add connection.
- In Add a connection, choose LIFX (under Smart home).
- In Name this connection, enter the name people will see.
- Paste the token into Personal access token.
- Choose Test and link, then Done.
Result
Your lights and scenes appear after the first sync. Lights are checked every 15 seconds.
If it doesn't work
- The credentials were rejected. The token was revoked or mistyped. Generate a new one. If the connection says Needs a new sign-in, choose Sign in again and paste the new token. See How to Relink a Connection.
- See Fixing a Connection Problem.
