Turn on meeting recording, control who can start one, and set retention/storage limits.
Before you start
The Manage Meet Settings right. Note End-to-End Encryption (Security & Access tab) must be off — recording isn't available while E2EE is active.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Kamo Meets → Recording.
- Toggle Enable Recording — the rest of this tab only appears once this is on.
- Recording Behavior — Auto-Record All Meetings, whether to record to the provider's cloud (Kamo still pulls a copy into your own storage either way), whether to produce a transcript, whether recordings can be downloaded (versus playback-only), and Who Can Record (All Meeting Hosts / Admins Only / members with the separate "Record Meetings" right).
- Storage & Retention — Retention Period in days (default 90) and Storage Quota in GB (default 10). A live usage bar shows how much of your quota is used.
- Click Save changes.
What you'll see
Once your storage quota is reached, the oldest recordings are automatically removed to make room for new ones.
