Questions about BambooHR

Where do we find our company domain?
It is the subdomain in your BambooHR URL — the part before .bamboohr.com. The integration is scoped to that account.
API key or OAuth?
Both work. OAuth avoids storing a long-lived secret; the API key mode is there for accounts that prefer it or cannot complete an OAuth grant. Keys are encrypted per organization.
Is BambooHR our payroll system in this setup?
It depends on your plan. Where BambooHR runs payroll, the pushed hours feed it directly. Where it is the HR record only, KamoCRM still syncs the directory and PTO while a separate provider handles the pay run.
What happens to an unmapped earning code?
It is reported as a configuration issue naming the code, rather than the hours being dropped. Map it and re-run the period.
Can we test before going live?
Yes. The connection test verifies the domain and credentials without writing anything, and a single pay period can be pushed first to check mapping.
