Questions about Paychex Flex

What do we need from Paychex to set this up?
API credentials issued against your own Paychex company, plus the company ID. Your Paychex representative provisions them; KamoCRM stores them encrypted for your organization only.
Does it push job costing?
Not for Paychex. Approved hours, the employee, and the pay period are pushed. Labor allocation is sent to the vendors whose APIs accept it — ADP, BambooHR, Dayforce, Gusto, Paycor, Paylocity, UKG, and Workday.
Do we need Paychex Flex Time?
It is a setting on the connection because it changes how time is accepted. The integration works either way; you tell it which the company uses during setup.
What happens to an unmapped earning code?
The sync reports it, naming the code, instead of dropping those lines. Map it once and re-run the period.
Can we check the connection before pushing?
Yes. The connection test validates credentials and company access without writing anything to Paychex.
