Email deliverability

Getting into the inbox, which is an infrastructure problem

When email stops arriving, the campaign tool still reports it as sent, which is true and useless. Delivery was accepted and then the message was deferred, filtered or discarded by a receiving system using rules the campaign tool cannot see. Most agencies have only the campaign tool, so the investigation ends immediately. Deliverability is decided by authentication, sending reputation, list quality and infrastructure — all below the layer where marketing usually operates.

What the work involves

  • Authentication done properly — SPF, DKIM and DMARC, with a policy that actually progresses to enforcement
  • Separating transactional from bulk sending, so a newsletter cannot damage password resets
  • Reputation diagnosis using feedback loops and postmaster tooling rather than guesswork
  • List hygiene, re-engagement and suppression, which is usually the largest single win
  • Warming a new domain or address properly instead of sending fifty thousand on day one
  • Monitoring so a reputation problem is noticed before a campaign rather than after it

Why we are credible at this

We run the mail: separate Postfix instances for transactional, bulk and inbound, Dovecot for mailboxes, Rspamd for filtering — and a sender-identity check that verifies against live DNS whether a domain truly belongs to the sender and whether its SPF record authorises us, recording no verdict rather than guessing when the lookup fails.

What moves the price

We quote after discovery and the number is fixed before anything starts. These are the things that move it, so you can see roughly where your project sits before you talk to us.

  • How damaged the current sending reputation is
  • Number of sending domains and platforms in use
  • Whether the list needs substantial hygiene work before anything else can help
  • Whether infrastructure changes are in scope or only configuration
