Look back at earlier saved versions of a note, and restore one if you need to undo changes.
Before you start
The note must have at least one prior saved version — the version-history icon only appears once a note has been saved and edited at least once.
Steps
- Open the note and click the Version history icon in its toolbar.
- Each version in the list shows its number, when it was saved, and its word/character counts. Click a version to preview it.
- To bring an old version back, click Restore Version and confirm. Restoring saves the note's current state as one more version first, then applies the version you picked — so restoring is never a one-way trip away from what you had.
What you'll see
The note's title, body, and other fields update to match the version you restored, and it's saved immediately.
