The Commerce Pipeline

Scope note: the Pipeline covers seven distinct verticals (retail, mortgage, rental, service, subscription, procurement, personal loans), each with its own set of tabs and object types. This pass documents the everyday-use basics of the most universal one, Retail orders (see How to Create a Retail Order and How do I manage a retail order?). The mortgage Applications, rental Bookings, service Requests/Work Orders, subscription Signups, procurement, and personal-loans surfaces are real and substantial but not covered in this pass.

Commerce (/commerce, the Commerce item in the left nav — gated on organization.isPos and the Access Commerce right) is the day-to-day operations screen for whatever commerce Markets your organization has set up. Internally it's called the Pipeline, and it's the everyday-use side of the same object system the original product plan called "Customizable Pipelines (Orders, Agreements, Applications, Bookings)."

How it's laid out

One tab per active commerce Market, ordered the same way admins order them in Commerce settings (see How to Create a Commerce Market). If your organization has only one Market, its tab runs full-bleed with no tab bar at all; the page header then adopts that Market's own title and description instead of the generic "Commerce" heading.

Each Market tab shows the object types that make sense for its vertical (the commerce type chosen when the Market was created):

• Retail — Orders, Products, Inventory, Vendors, Retail Carts, Retail Customers, Fulfillment, Shipments, Returns.
• Mortgage — Applications, Loan Offers.
• Rental — Bookings, Rental Assets.
• Service — Service Requests, Work Orders.
• Subscription — Signups.
• Procurement — Procurement records.
• Personal Loans — Active Loans.

A market's catalog underneath it (which products, loan products, rental assets, or subscription plans it offers) is configured in Commerce settings, not here — this screen is where those offerings turn into actual orders, applications, and bookings.
