Design a new marketing material in Canva, or bring an existing Canva design into the library, without leaving KamoCRM.
Before you start
- Your organization's Canva integration must be connected first — see How to Connect the Canva Integration Until it is, Materials shows a Connect Canva button instead of the Canva actions below.
- You need the Manage Materials right.
Steps
Create a new design in Canva
- On the Materials page, click Create in Canva.
- Pick a preset: Instagram Post (1080×1080), Instagram Story (1080×1920), Facebook Post (1200×630), Flyer (Letter), or Presentation.
- Canva opens in a new tab with a blank design at that size. Design it there, then come back to KamoCRM.
- Back on the Materials page, click Import from Canva to pull the finished design in (see below).
Import an existing Canva design
- Click Import from Canva.
- In the Import a design from Canva dialog, pick a design from the grid of your Canva designs.
- The design exports as a PNG and uploads into Materials automatically; the dialog closes.
Import a file into Canva as an editable design
- Click Import a file.
- Choose a PDF, PowerPoint, image, AI, or PSD file from your computer.
- It uploads to Canva and opens as an editable design in a new tab. Use Import from Canva afterward to bring the edited version into Materials.
Advanced: generating from a brand template
If your organization is on a Canva Enterprise plan, a Generate from Template button also appears. It walks through your Canva brand templates, lets you fill each fillable field with typed text, an org token (name, NMLS #, phone, website, address, or your own name), or an image picked from Materials, then generates a finished design. Filled-in field sets can be saved as a named recipe for reuse. A Schedules button lets you turn a saved recipe into a recurring generation — daily, weekly, or monthly — optionally auto-posting the result to a connected social account. Both are real, working features, but out of depth for this article; if you rely on either regularly, ask an admin to confirm the org's Canva plan supports data-merge autofill.
What you'll see
The design lands in Materials the same way an upload would — visible in All Materials (or the folder you had selected), Draft approval status, team-members-only visibility by default.
