Download a note as a file, in Markdown, plain text, HTML, or PDF.
Before you start
The note must already be saved — export reads the saved record, so a brand-new note that hasn't been saved yet can't be exported.
Steps
- Open the note and click the Export note icon in its toolbar.
- Choose a format: Export as Markdown, Export as Text, Export as HTML, or Export as PDF.
What you'll see
- Markdown, Text, and HTML download directly as a file named after the note's title.
- PDF works differently: it opens a new browser tab with a printable version of the note and triggers your browser's print dialog, where you choose Save as PDF (or your system's equivalent) to actually produce the file — it isn't a direct file download the way the other three formats are.
