Find notes by text, category, tag, color, or pinned/favorite status, and change how the wall lays them out.
Steps
- On the Notes page, type into the search box in the command bar (or press / to jump into it from anywhere on the wall) to filter by title and content.
- In the left rail, click All Notes, Pinned, or Favorites for a quick filter, or expand Colors, Categories, or Tags to filter by any that are actually in use — each shows a count. Click the rail's collapse arrow to hide it and reclaim screen space.
- Use the Sort control in the command bar to order by Last edited, Date added, Title, or Times opened, and toggle ascending/descending.
- Switch the layout between Grid View, List View, and Compact View using the view icons.
- Press Ctrl/Cmd+K (or click the search icon that opens it) for the command palette — search notes by name and jump straight to one, or run a quick command like creating a new note or showing pinned/favorites.
- Click Clear filters (shown on the wall when a filter is narrowing it, or from the palette) to reset back to everything.
What you'll see
The wall shows only notes matching your current search and filters, sorted and laid out the way you chose. Filters persist as you navigate the wall until you clear them.
