Create, rename, or delete a contact book or group, and move contacts between them.
Steps
Create a book
- In the left sidebar, click Add book (or, if you have no books at all, KamoCRM prompts you the first time you try to add a contact).
- Give it a Book name (required), an optional description, and pick an Accent color.
- Toggle Show in lists off if you want the book to stay intact but stop appearing in pickers.
- Click Create.
Rename or edit a book
- In the sidebar, open the book's actions menu and choose Rename & edit.
- Change the name, description, color, or visibility, then click Save.
Delete a book
- From the book's actions menu, choose Delete book, then confirm.
- Deleting a book deletes its contacts and groups with it — this can't be undone. (The organization's default book, if one exists, can't be deleted this way.)
Create, rename, or delete a group
- With a book selected, click Add group in the sidebar (or use a group's actions menu to Rename & edit or Delete group).
- A group needs a Group name; description and accent color are optional.
- Deleting a group only removes the grouping — the contacts in it stay in their book.
Move contacts between books, or add them to a group
- Select one or more contacts in the list (see How to Edit, Export or Delete a Contact for selecting).
- In the selection bar, click Move and pick the destination book, or Add to group and pick the group.
What you'll see
Books and groups you create appear immediately in the sidebar; contacts you move or group show up under their new scope right away.
