Control which sources the mailbox is allowed to pull sender pictures from — checked in order, stopping at the first match.
Before you start
The Manage Email Avatar Settings right.
Steps
- Go to Settings → E-Mail → Sender Avatars.
- Team members and saved contacts is always on — photos already known to Kamo, nothing leaves the platform to resolve these.
- Toggle any of the optional sources you want, in the order they'd be checked:
- Your connected email directory — profile photos from your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace connection.
- Company logos from the sender's domain — looks up the brand mark published by the sending company; only uses the domain, never a full address.
- Public profile photos (Gravatar) — sends a fingerprint of each correspondent's email address to Gravatar, a third-party service. Read the warning that appears when this is on before enabling it for regulated records.
What you'll see
Turning a source off immediately discards every picture it had already found — there's no cached fallback.
