Note: the in-editor "Email Signature" block is a cosmetic preview only — it's not connected to your real signature settings on the Headers & Footers tab. Its "Update Signature Image" button isn't wired up either — don't expect a real upload there.

Before you start
The Manage Email Settings right.
Steps
- Go to Settings → E-Mail → Email Templates.
- Browse existing templates — filter by category, search, or switch between All / Required / Custom / Archived (top-level orgs also see System Defaults).
- Click New Template, or click an existing one to edit.
- In the editor:
- Set Template Name, Template Key (uppercase, 1–64 characters, only editable when creating new), Category, Description, and Preview Text.
- Click a Variable chip to insert it into the Subject line.
- Build the body from blocks: Paragraph, Table, Image, List, Separator — drag to reorder.
- Set Branding Options (header/footer logo), Background, Legal Text (pick from 9 canned types), and whether to Show Unsubscribe Link.
- Click Preview to see a live render, then Save.
Other actions
- Duplicate — copies a template under a new key (not available on SYSTEM templates).
- Reset to Default — only on REQUIRED templates; reverts to the platform's SYSTEM version.
- Archive / Unarchive — not available on SYSTEM or REQUIRED templates.
