Choose and configure the email provider your organization sends and receives through. See What is an email provider? first — the setup steps differ a lot by provider type.
Before you start
The Manage Email Settings right, and your organization must have Email enabled.
Steps
- Go to Settings → E-Mail → Email General Settings.
- Click a provider card. If you already have a different provider active, confirm the switch — this disconnects the existing configuration.
- What happens next depends on the type:
- KamoMail, Parent Org, Gmail (Personal), Outlook (Personal) — saves immediately, nothing further to configure here. For the two personal options, go to the Mailboxes tab afterward — each member connects their own account from their profile.
- Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail — click Connect to authorize via a popup. For Google Workspace specifically, also paste a service-account JSON key under Mailbox Access (IMAP) afterward — the OAuth connection alone doesn't grant mailbox read/send access.
- SMTP Only, IceWarp, Exchange, Individual IMAP — fill in the connection form (host, port, credentials; Exchange also lets you choose Basic/NTLM/OAuth authentication). Click Test Connection before saving.
- Click Save.
To disconnect
Configured providers show a Disconnect button on their config screen — this resets your provider back to Not Configured.
