Send a text message and keep up a text conversation from KamoCRM.
Before you start
Your organization has a bulk-text/SMS provider connected (Settings → Phone System(s)) and you hold the Access VOIP right.
Steps
Start a new conversation:
- In the top navigation bar, click the phone icon → Text.
- If nothing is open yet, you land on a number pad — type the recipient's number (at least 10 digits) and click Start SMS.
Send a message:
- In the Chat tab, type your message in the box at the bottom.
- Optional: click the paperclip to attach a file, or the emoji icon to insert an emoji.
- Click send (or press Enter).
Use a canned quick-reply:
- Click the Templates tab.
- Browse the built-in templates (Greeting, Follow-up, Appointment, Out of Office) and click Use on one.
- It drops the text into your message box — edit the
{name}/{date}/{time}-style placeholders by hand before sending; they aren't filled in automatically.
Search within a conversation:
- Click the search icon in the Chat tab's header and type — matching text is highlighted in the message list.
What you'll see
Sent messages appear immediately in the thread; incoming replies arrive the same way, with a notification if the window isn't focused.
