Link an enrolled team member to their record in your connected payroll provider, so their hours can be exported.
Before you start
- Manage Timecards right, and a payroll provider already connected (Settings → HRS → Payroll — see How to Connect a Payroll Provider). Without a provider connected, hours are exported as a file instead, and mapping isn't offered.
- The member must already be enrolled in timecards.
Steps
- In the nav bar, click Human Resources → Attendance tab → Enrollment sub-tab. Payroll mapping is a column on the same roster as enrollment, not a separate screen — enrolling someone and telling payroll who they are is treated as one job.
- To match many people at once, click Match automatically. The system proposes matches by comparing each enrolled member's work email against the payroll provider's employee list, then shows a summary ("{matched} matched by work email, {unmatched} could not be matched"). Review the proposed matches and click Map {count} to apply them.
- For anyone left unmapped, click Map on their row, then search the payroll provider's employee list by name, email, or employee number and choose the correct one.
- To remove a mapping, click Unmap on a mapped row — their punch and timecard history is kept; only the payroll link is removed.
What you'll see
Mapped rows show Mapped to the payroll record with when their hours were last sent. Unmapped rows are flagged with a reason — no work email in Kamo, no matching payroll record for that email, more than one payroll record with that email, or that payroll record is already mapped to someone else. An enrolled person with no payroll mapping is, per the app's own description, the single most common way hours silently fail to reach payroll — so this gap is shown on the same screen where it's created rather than buried elsewhere.
