Human Resources (nav icon, /hr) is your organization's workforce dashboard: attendance, employment agreements, training, and a shared resource library, in one place. It only appears in your nav bar if your organization has HR turned on and you hold at least one of its five tab rights.
Every tab is gated on its own security role right
Unlike most modules, Human Resources doesn't have a single "can I see this" gate — each of its five tabs is independently permissioned, so what you see depends entirely on which rights your role holds:
Tab | What it shows | Right required |
|---|---|---|
Overview | A read-only summary of headcount, departments, roles, and recent changes across the other four tabs | View Overview |
Attendance | Time worked, time off, and schedules for everyone on your team — roster, approvals, exceptions, pay periods, payroll export, compliance reports, bulk close, and enrollment | Manage Timecards |
Legal & Compliance | Employment agreements and policy acknowledgements you issue to your team, and the records you're required to keep | Manage Legal And Compliance |
Training | Courses, certifications, and the training each team member still owes | Manage Training |
Resources | The org's shared HR resource library (handbooks, policies, forms) | Manage Resources |
A member who holds none of these five rights never sees Human Resources in their nav at all — it isn't a locked door, it's just absent. A member holding only one — say, Manage Training — lands directly on the Training tab and never sees the other four in the tab bar.
This is the management side — your own records live under My Account
Everything above is about administering other people's HR records. Your own timecard, your own assigned legal packages, and your own assigned training courses are a completely separate, self-service surface reached through Settings → My Account, available to any member regardless of whether they hold any of the five rights above — see How to Sign an HR Legal Package and How to Complete an Assigned Training Course The two surfaces are deliberately split: the endpoints behind your own timecard and legal packages take no member ID at all (the session decides whose record it is), so there is no way for that self-service view to ever show or edit someone else's data.
