KamoMobile gives you your devices, alarms, automations and shares on your phone. It uses the same access as the web: it shows only what you are allowed to see and do.
Before you start
Install KamoMobile and sign in. See How to Set Up Mobile Copilot. You need the View IoT Devices right. Then open Devices (IoT).
What you can do on the phone
- See how many devices are online, what needs attention and the active alarms.
- Under Open, go to Devices, Sites and rooms, Automations, Alarms, Activity (with the View IoT Activity right), Shared and Settings.
- See your devices with live values, and use the controls you were given.
- Acknowledge, shelve and add notes to alarms. See How to Acknowledge an Alarm.
- Create and change automations, alarm rules and escalation policies, if you hold the rights for them.
- Open devices shared with you. See How to Open Device Access Someone Shared with You.
- Link Google Home or Apple Home, which can only be linked from a phone. See How to Link Google Home or Apple Home from Your Phone.
- Manage the Settings tabs your rights open, the same tabs as on the web.
Security controls on the phone
A security action asks for the same confirmation as on the web, including your password when it is needed. A control that was set up to need a second person asks you to choose who confirms it.
Notifications
Alarms arrive as notifications with Acknowledge and Open. Critical alarms can sound while Do Not Disturb is on, if you allow it: on the Alarms screen choose Let critical alarms through Do Not Disturb. If you do not receive alarms, check that notifications are allowed for KamoMobile on your phone, and that you are among the people the alarm's policy tells.
Good to know
Linking Google Home or Apple Home makes that phone part of the connection: commands for those devices run on the linking phone, and their states are as of the last time that phone had KamoMobile open. Automations and alarms cannot use those devices.
