Connect on-premises Microsoft Exchange (or hybrid Exchange) to KamoCRM via Exchange Web Services (EWS). Emails with known contacts log to the contact record. Distinct from the Microsoft 365 integration, which handles Exchange Online through Graph API — this one is for organizations running Exchange on their own servers.

What Exchange versions are supported?

Exchange Server 2016 and newer with EWS enabled. Older versions (2010, 2013) may work but aren't officially tested.

What about Exchange Online (Office 365)?

For Exchange Online, use the Microsoft 365 integration (Graph API). This integration is specifically for on-premises or hybrid Exchange.

Is EWS Impersonation required?

Yes, to sync on behalf of users without per-user credentials. Your Exchange admin grants the service account ApplicationImpersonation rights scoped to the relevant mailbox set.

What about modern auth (OAuth) vs basic auth?

Modern Hybrid Exchange typically supports OAuth via Azure AD. Basic auth over EWS is also supported for older on-prem deployments.
