Write and send a new email from KamoCRM.
Before you start
- Your organization has email set up and you have a mailbox assigned to you. If the Mail button doesn't appear in the top navigation bar, see Why Mail May Not Be Available to You
Steps
- In the top navigation bar, click the Mail icon (tooltip: "Call or Text" is the phone icon next to it — Mail's own tooltip is "Email").
- Click Compose New Email. A compose window opens. If this option is greyed out, hover it — it explains why (no email provider configured, or no mailbox assigned to you yet).
- Fill in the fields:
- To: — start typing a name or address; matching contacts and organization members appear as you type.
- CC: / BCC: — optional, same recipient picker.
- Subj: — the subject line.
- Body — the large text area below, with a rich-text toolbar.
- Optional: click the paperclip icon to attach a file, or drag a file straight onto the window and drop it.
- Optional: toggle the switch at the bottom (labeled with your current template — "No template", "Individual template", "Department template", or "Organization template") off if you don't want your organization's email signature/header included on this message.
- Click Send.
What you'll see
If at least one recipient is filled in, Send becomes active. On success the window shows "Email sent successfully" and closes after a moment, and the message appears in your Sent folder. If you left the subject blank, a dialog asks whether to add one or send anyway.
If you're not ready to send, click Draft instead — it saves to your Drafts folder. Attachments and an attached meeting invite are NOT saved with a draft; you're told exactly what got left out.
